We the undersigned are asking East Sussex County Council to examine the possibility of placing a central reservation on the A.272. at North Chailey. Children use this area to cross the road to catch the bus to school. A place of safety half way across the road would make the crossing easier and safer. For this, police support is vital, therefore I will be talking to the relevant departments to help bring this about.

Background information

A schoolgirl was recently injured crossing the road to catch the bus - she is lucky to be alive. If there had been a central reservation in place to aid crossing the accident may not have happened.
